Determining interbreeding population using chi-squared..?
Based on the question it sounds like your cl is the observed and the 2 groups are the expected. I suspect that the group that you cl has a smaller chi-squared value to is considered more interbreeding from the standpoint of allele frequencies, but I am uming they mean interbreeding from the standpoint that they are breeding within a population so allele frequencies should remain relatively stable, probably according to Hardy-weinberg. This is mostly just what I got from the gist of the problem and I have not done population genetics in a couple years.
