HELP!! XBOX LIVE PROBLEM!!!?

okay so about a year and a half ago i wanted to join xbox live on my xbox 360 but there was a problem because instead of signing in and making my original profile subscribe to xbox live i created a new account and subscribed it to xbox live. So i (presumably) deleted it. Just this month i tried joining xbox live again but this time making my original gamer profile join (subscribe to) xbox live but as i was entering my email it said "this email is currently being used by another gamer tag, please use a different email'. So what im really trying to ask is how do i delete my old email on my old gamer tag so i can use my email again for my new gamer profile. I do NOT want to make a new email. thanks :D
